ﻣﺎ ﻳﺸﺎﻉ ﺑﺄﻥ ﻋﺼﻴﺮ ﺍﻟﺒﺮﺗﻘﺎﻝ ﺍﻟﻄﺎﺯﺝ ﻫﻮ ﻓﻄﻮﺭ ﻣﺜﺎﻟﻲ ﺻﺤﻴﺢ، ﻷﻧﻪ ﻳﻌﻄﻲ ﺍﻟﺠﺴﻢ ﺍﻟﻘﻮﺓ ﻭﺍﻟﻄﺎﻗﺔ ﻣﻨﺬ ﺍﻟﺼﺒﺎﺡ . ﻭﻟﻜﻦ ﻣﻦ ﺃﺟﻞ ﺫﻟﻚ ﻳﺠﺐ ﺗﻨﺎﻭﻟﻪ ﺑﻌﺪ ﺍﻟﻔﻄﻮﺭ، ﻷﻧﻪ ﻳﺤﺘﻮﻱ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺃﺣﻤﺎﺽ ﻋﺪﻳﺪﺓ ﻣﺨﺘﻠﻔﺔ، ﻗﺪ ﺗﺴﺒﺐ ﺍﻟﺘﻬﺎﺏ ﺍﻟﻤﻌﺪﺓ .

ﻳﻔﻀﻞ ﻋﺪﻡ ﺗﻨﺎﻭﻝ ﺍﻟﻤﻌﺠﻨﺎﺕ ﺑﺎﻟﻜﺮﻳﻢ ﻭﺍﻟﺸﻮﻛﻮﻻﺗﺔ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﺮﻳﻖ . ﻷﻥ ﺍﻟﺒﻨﻜﺮﻳﺎﺱ ﻳﻌﺠﺰ ﻣﻨﺬ ﺍﻟﺼﺒﺎﺡ ﻋﻦ ﺇﻓﺮﺍﺯ ﺍﻟﻜﻤﻴﺔ ﺍﻟﻼﺯﻣﺔ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻷﻧﺴﻮﻟﻴﻦ . ﻣﺎ ﻳﺆﺩﻱ ﺇﻟﻰ ﺍﺿﻄﺮﺍﺏ ﺍﻟﺘﻮﺍﺯﻥ ﺍﻟﺤﻤﻀﻲ ﺍﻟﻘﺎﻋﺪﻱ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﺠﺴﻢ .
